Duke Beardsley unveils new work at Altamira Fine Art

Opening March 3 at Altamira Fine Art in Scottsdale, Arizona, is a new solo show for Colorado painter Duke Beardsley. The artist is known for his Pop Art and modern aesthetic, with repeating forms of horses and riders, as well as colorful displays of paint that don’t often turn up in Western art. He is also known for the presentation of his works, from immense paintings that fill walls, to diptychs and triptychs, to arrangements of small paintings. See more of Beardsley’s work at Altamira by visiting www.altamiraart.com.

New works by Andrew Florea explore the desert landscape

Born in Long Island, New York, but now living in the West, Andrew Florea is offering new perspectives of desert landscapes. The Arizona-based painter is the son of comics illustrator Sandu Florea, who has worked on Batman, X-Men and other popular comic characters, so he has grown up around art his whole life. It was his travels to the West, though, that exposed him to the pristine desert lands that would soon fill his canvases. He shows his work at Wilde Meyer Gallery in Arizona and Assemblage Gallery in Texas. His work can be seen online at www.andrewflorea.com. —
