A Walk in the Woods

A Walk in the Woods

oil on canvas
20 x 24 inches (L x W)
Sometimes trees are cut down unnecessarily as these appear to have been left behind and have the weeds and flowers growing around them, but this Grizzly Bear is still wanting to walk in the forest taken from him.

Arrrowhead Rockery

Arrrowhead Rockery

oil on canvas
36 x 24 inches (L x W)
Arrowhead Rockery will always remain as one of my favourite paintings. People often describe rocks as grey colored but if you look very closely at the rocks shown here, you will notice that no grey was used. Instead cereleun blue, magenta, olive green and the like and the color combination bring this painting alive.

Pentru Iubure is Romanian meaning For Love. Algonquin Provincial Park is loved by thousands and this scene is from one of the potage areas, showing a canoe in the Algonquin Park rental color. Winter creates such unique subjects. The fallen tree that would possibly not have interested me for a painting, becomes more compelling to paint when covered with snow. The woodpecker in the tree that kept coming closer to see what I was doing , really completed the composition.
