1. Evening Trail to Finger Rock
Darcie Peet
Oil
30 x 36 inches (L x W)
On the edge of the Catalina Mountains outside of Tucson, this winding, rocky trail goes higher and much steeper toward the iconic landmark aptly named “Finger Rock.” Long, late-day, lavender shadows sweep down the steep cliffs and across the trail leaving only a few desert grasses, slender, linear ocotillo and taller saguaro to catch the last golden light. One of three new paintings available at Settlers West November 2026, Great American West Show opening Saturday, Nov. 21, 5:30 PM.

2. Windswept and Aqua - Canadian Rockies
Darcie Peet
Oil
20 x 24 inches (L x W)
Just a quick glimpse of Bow Lake’s vibrant aqua waters is spied across the autumn, evergreen-strewn meadows of the Canadian Rockies. Along the Icefields Parkway, high altitude winds foretelling of winter soon to come, brush wispy clouds and snow across the high peaks. One of three new paintings available at Settlers West November 2026, Great American West Show opening Saturday, Nov. 21, 5:30 PM.

3. Early Moon Over Thimble Peak
Darcie Peet
Oil
16 x 20 inches (L x W)
Distinct desert landmark, Thimble Peak, rises above Sabino Canyon on the outskirts of Tucson, AZ. Autumn and winter months bring a low sun for rich, end-of-the-day, glowing color across the steep cliffs while the opposite hillsides already in shadow cast silhouettes of tall saguaro against the flaming, rock faces and remaining sun-blazed lower slopes. One of three new paintings available at Settlers West November 2026, Great American West Show opening Saturday, Nov. 21, 5:30 PM.
For sale. $3500. Available through Settlers West Gallery, 6420 N. Campbell Ave. Tucson, AZ 85718, 520-299-2607 www.settlerswest.com www.darciepeet.com
4. Desert Monsoon Moon
Darcie Peet
Oil
16 x 20 inches (L x W)
Dwindling, summer monsoon clouds drift away in the early morning hours as the glow of the sunrise warmly illuminates the peaks and ridgelines of Safford Peak in the northern Tucson Mountains. Transformed into shades of rose and peach, the receding and fragmenting clouds reveal the sliver of a waning, crescent moon. Remnants of the previous day’s rain still meander across the desert floor soon to quickly be absorbed by the thirsty soil. Shown at the 57th Mountain Oyster Club Western Art Show & Sale. Artist & Patron Reception Sat., Nov 21. 1:30- 4:30 PM. Public opening and final drawing, Sun., Nov 22.
For sale. $3500. Mountain Oyster Club, 6400 E El Dorado Circle Suite 100C, Tucson AZ. 520-623-3417, www.mountainoysterclub.com www.darciepeet.com
5. Whisper of Spring Yet to Come
Darcie Peet
Oil
24 x 24 inches (L x W)
By late May there is still plenty of snow especially at higher elevations in the mountains. Between Copper Mountain, Colorado, and Leadville, this old mining road marks the trailhead for Mayflower Gulch. Steeped in mining history this rough, worn road slowly climbs to timberline where remnants of mining cabins and equipment dot the tundra of what is referred to as Mayflower Amphitheater, a ring of striking, jagged peaks. Here and there, snowmelt has begun leaving scattered snow piles and puddles reflecting the gleam of the late day sun which also highlights a swath of leafless willows soon to bud with the first touches of spring. This time of year, there is rarely a hiker around, thus utter stillness.
For Sale. $5300. Available from David Wilkinson and ArtzLine, America’s Online Gallery, 800-958-5360, www.artzline.com/darcie-peet/ www.darciepeet.com\
