George Hallmark dips his toes back in
In December 2023, George Hallmark announced his retirement as he and his wife Lisa moved to Mexico. At the time, the great Texas painter left open the possibility for more paintings in the future. That time has come as Hallmark has once again returned to the easel. The works are smaller, and yet they are still unmistakably Hallmark. The new pieces will be available through David Wilkinson and Artzline. They are already being scooped up, so don’t miss this opportunity.See more at artzline.com/george-hallmark

Ester Curini commemorates America’s birthday
Wildlife painter Ester Curini turned to America’s mammal, the buffalo, for her newest work. Titled Born Before Fire, the work celebrates America’s birthday. “As the United States marks its 250th anniversary, I have been thinking about the lives that were here long before the nation existed,” Curini writes. “Bison once inhabited this continent in immense numbers, were driven to the brink of extinction, and survived. For me, there is something especially meaningful about looking at this animal now, not simply as a symbol of the country, but as a living presence that predates it.”Learn more about the artist at www.estercurini.com
