Collector’s Focus: Outlaws & Lawmen

We’re putting the “wild” in Wild West with our 2nd annual special section devoted to Outlaws & Lawmen in the October issue of Western Art Collector. The lawlessness and violence of the West—and the people who set out to tame this violence and make it safer for everyone—have long been subjects in Western art. Images of gunfights, mounted posses, stagecoach robberies and sheriffs maintaining peace have brought drama and action to the Old West, from Deadwood, South Dakota, to Dodge City, Kansas, to Tombstone, Arizona.
