Join Western Art Collector in the February issue as we unveil Collector’s Focus: Into the Wilderness, our second edition of a special section devoted to America’s unspoiled lands and the wild creatures that reside in them. Albert Bierstadt, Carl Rungius, Charles M. Russell, Philip R. Goodwin and many other historic artists have painted the magnificence of nature, and those traditions continue today with new artists who are still captivated by the raw power of nature. Subjects will include landscapes and images of wildlife, but also artworks that combine the two and offer a stunning look into the untamed beauty of the American West. Looking through the section, our readers will be transported to scenic views of Yellowstone and its bison, mountain lions on the prowl in the Rocky Mountains, and grizzlies pawing at fish in mountain streams.
