"Christopher's Eagle" was inspired by watching a Bald Eagle searching for dinner, flying low over a lake. The title was inspired from the enthusiasm for my work, shown by a young man named Christopher, as I was carving this piece at the Cattlemen's Western Art show in Paso Robles, CA. "Run from the Burn" was inspired for the concern for wildlife, due to all the fires seen throughout the western states. It is fitting that the bull elk is running into the aspen trees, as aspen trees do not readily burn, due to their water content. The artist was informed of this fact during his time spent as a guide in the Rocky Mountain Wilderness. Includes mat and frame.
