A Rare Example of a Native American Navajo Saddle - Late 1800s.

Native American Saddle
A unique and rare example of a Native American (Navajo) ladies saddle from the late 1800s. How do we know it is a ladies saddle? Because of the saddle horn. Items such as a cradle board were hung on the saddle horn. Navajo men's saddles from this time period usually did not have a saddle horn as it would have been in the way when hunting or fighting. This saddle is handmade and retains most of its original form and decorations. The original hand-bent cedar wood stirrups are even there. A vintage Navajo saddle blanket is included with the saddle. The custom made stand can be included, but only if the buyer makes arrangements to pick it up, we will not ship the saddle stand. For sale - $2,500.00
