Although she was born in Arizona, plein air painter Linda Mutti has been a California resident since she was 5 years old. From an early age she had a passion for drawing and painting and her early work illustrated her love of horses and the California landscape.

Over the years, Mutti has had the opportunity to study with such noted artists such as Richard McKinley, Albert Handell, Glenna Hartman, Kim Lordier, Skip Whitcomb, Matt Smith and Scott Christensen. She has also been accepted for an apprenticeship with John Pugh, the internationally acclaimed muralist.
Much of her current work reflects the areas of the Central California coast where she resides. Although much of it is completed in pastels or oils, she also enjoys rendering with a pencil. Her paintings reflect the Western way of life and what is called the “golden light of the California Coast.”

Among her many distinctions, Mutti is a Distinguished Member of the Pastel Society of the West Coast, a member of the California Art Club, Eminent Panelist with the International Association of Pastel Societies, American Women Artists Signature Member, an OAK Group member, Women Artists of the West Signature Member and local art associations.
