The Grand Canyon Celebration of Artwill return for its 18th year this September. The exhibition will continue its long tradition of showcasing and supporting artists who capture the hidden depths and vistas of the park, while raising funds for an art venue on the South Rim.

“For nearly two decades, Celebration of Art has highlighted the profound connection between Grand Canyon and the artists it inspires,” says Liz Silkes, CEO of Grand Canyon Conservancy. “This event not only showcases extraordinary work but also deepens our understanding of this remarkable place and ensures its stories continue to inspire future generations.”
This year’s exhibition theme, “Earth-mapping,” pushes artists to explore sensory, ecological and cartographic interpretations of the canyon. Artists will submit works in a wide array of styles, including plein air painting, photography, abstraction, design and conceptual landscape works—encouraging viewers to consider the canyon from different perspectives.
“Earth-Mapping examines the role of artists in capturing moments that become records of environmental and ecological change,” said Cece Cole, curator of Celebration of Art. “These works extend beyond representation, offering scientific, historical and cultural insight for generations to come.”

Artists will begin arriving at the South Rim of Grand Canyon National Park from September 21 through 25 to create their work onsite. On September 26, a collector’s reception will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Kolb Studio, where attendees have the opportunity to meet the artists.
The exhibition and sale will open to the public on September 27. The works will be on display at Kolb Studio and online through March 31, 2027. —
