Jackson Hole, Wyoming, is a haven for artists, art lovers and collectors. With its distinct blend of rugged Western heritage, contemporary art and wildlife art, the art scene has flourished and made a name for itself.
The 42nd Annual Jackson Hole Fall Arts Festival begins on September 9, celebrating the city’s commitment to the arts with more than 50 events showcasing world-class artworks throughout Jackson Hole.
“For more than 40 years, Fall Arts Festivalhas celebrated the artists and organizations that make Jackson Hole such a remarkable place,” says chamber vice president John Morgan.

That honor reflects decades of passion, creativity and investment by our artists, galleries, museums, nonprofits and supporters. The landscapes may inspire the art, but it’s the people who have made Jackson Hole one of the nation’s truly exceptional arts destinations.”
The festival spans 12 days, offering visitors the opportunity to experience the artists, galleries, museums and cultural organizations that have helped earn Jackson Hole this national distinction. It’s an event that brings artists, collectors and community members together to appreciate the creativity flowing through the city. Signature events include Palates & Palettes Gallery Walk, Arts on the Green, Western Visions Art Show + Saleand others.

This year, the festival welcomes acclaimed painter Ben Steele as the 2026 featured artist. Steele, known for his distinctive blend of pop realism, nostalgia and Western contemporary painting, his work brings a fresh perspective to the festival’s rich artistic tradition and is featured in notable private and corporate collections across the country.
Steele’s featured work is 26 Old West Colors,which was created exclusively for the festival, celebrates the places, landmarks and memories that define Jackson Hole. The artwork is centered around an oversized, vintage box of crayons, featuring the Grand Tetons, the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar sign, the Town Square, elk-antler arches, Yellowstone, the Snake River and numerous hidden details inspired by Jackson Hole and the Greater Yellowstone region.

The artwork encapsulates the Jackson Hole art scene—simultaneously rooted in history and tradition but unmistakably modern. With more than 25 world-class galleries alongside a nationally recognized network of museums and performing arts organizations, the city lives up to its new vibrant reputation.
Beyond its signature events, the festival offers gallery exhibitions, museum programs, artist demonstrations and special showcases throughout the valley, creating countless opportunities to engage with the arts while experiencing the beauty of Jackson Hole.
