On August 4, Lusher Fine Art will offer more than 400 pieces of the West to bidders across a sprawling and lively in-person and online sale in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Material being offered will include Western paintings and sculpture, as well as historic items and memorabilia, important firearms and Native American objects across many categories.

Key items up for grabs include significant pieces of American history from the legendary 101 Ranch and personal memorabilia from the iconic cowboy Bill Pickett, whose image on the poster for the 1922 film The Bull-Dogger is a well known in Western art circles. The auction will have Pickett’s holster from the 101 Ranch, which hosted the Wild West Show starting in 1905. The holster, marked with Pickett’s initials, is estimated at $1,200 to $2,000.
Winchester Model 1894 Saddle Ring Carbine with associated archive Estimate: $7/9,000
Also from the 101 Ranch is a Winchester Model 1894 Saddle Ring Carbine that comes with an extensive archive relating to the famed Miller Brothers 101 Ranch of Oklahoma, one of the most celebrated ranching operations and Wild West show enterprises in American history. Included with the lot are a scabbard, cowboy cuffs, photographs and other related material. The rifle is estimated at $7,000 to $9,000.

Another piece of Oklahoma is a Ted Flowers silver-mounted parade saddle with breast collar and bridle. These parade saddles are turning up in more Western collections, so bidders are sure to respond. Estimates are $5,000 to $8,000.
Other lots include Bonnie Marris’ painting Three Wolves(est. $8/12,000), a Navajo silver concho belt (est. $30/35,000), a Cochiti Pueblo storage jar and a Tewa pottery jar.
