On June 18, Mountain Trails Gallery in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, will celebrate new work by California-based painter Andrew Bolam.
The artist, who lives on Lake Tahoe, recently completed a 10-week stint at Celebration of Fine Art in Scottsdale, Arizona. His work often features exquisite detail and moody light within compositions that embrace negative space and open skies. He also paints Native American subjects.

Among the new paintings are a trio of farm scenes with houses and barns on the extreme bottom edge of the canvas, which allow the atmosphere to fill as much as 90 percent of the composition. The effect underlines the grandness of the sky and the celestial space around the Earth. Also available is Prince Charming, an elk painting, and Majesty, an image that will be familiar to visitors in Jackson Hole.
