Sigler’s Debut

Cowgirl Up! returns for its 21st year at a renamed museum in Wickenburg, Arizona.

After receiving a landmark donation in 2025, the Desert Caballeros Western Museum was renamed the Sigler Western Museum. On March 27, the rebranded museum was unveiled for the venue’s most popular exhibition, Cowgirl Up! Art from the Other Side of the West. Excitement was high, as were sales, with strong results coming from both contemporary and traditional artists.

In addition to a sale, the museum also hosted a dinner with a live auction, as well as the hugely popular paint-out. The event kicked off with a miniature sale that saw robust bidding for the small works.

Award winners were Dolores Purdy, who won the best of show for the miniature portion of the show; Leslie Lambert in the two-dimensional category; and Liz Wolf in the three-dimensional category. Lisa Danielle won the Mary Ann Igna Best in Show award for her acrylic piece Evolving Traditions. Emerging artist Sara Bloodwolf won two awards: the museum purchase award for All That Blooms in the Desert, and the Western Art Collector Award of Excellence for Born Under the Western Sky. Harper Henry won both the patron’s choice and artists’ choice awards. —
