The annual Waterfowl Festivalin Easton, Maryland, is a wondrous showcase of aquatic avian species, from herons and egrets to loons, ducks, coots and grebes. This year’s show runs from November 8 to 10 and features bird art from artists across the world working in mediums like oil, acrylic and scratchboard, as well as photography, sculpture, carvings and more.

The featured artist for the 2024 show is multi-faceted artist Ronnie Wells, who hails from Texas. Known for his diverse wildlife art of North American beasts, Wells will be bringing new, original bronze sculptures and paintings to the Waterfowl Festival.

Birders and art lovers can explore the works of more than 75 artists capturing the rich diversity of nature, including painters Jill Basham, Christine Young, Steve Rogers, Joe Seme, Jim Rataczak and Sara Linda Poly, as well as sculptors Paul Rhymer, Walter Matia and Scott Penegar. In addition, visitors can take part in a variety of events like the Decoy Tailgate, offering dozens of works in decoy art, fly fishing demonstrations, waterfowl calling competitions and more.

Art exhibitions will be located in the Waterfowl Building, Academy Art Museum, Avalon Theatre and Eastern Shore Land Conservancy. Tickets to the Waterfowl Festival can be purchased in advance at www.waterfowl.org, including VIP and premiere night passes (taking place November 7). —
