Scottsdale Artists’ School knows how to throw an art party. They prove it year after year with their banner event, the Beaux Arts Annual Fundraising Gala.
With proceeds benefitting the nonprofit’s educational initiatives, the gala will feature more than 200 works donated by professional artists affiliated with the school. The sale will take place via online auction platform with bidding for artwork opening at the gala on November 7 and running through November 9.

Robert Moore, Autumn Grove, oil on canvas, 48 x 36 in.
Beaux Arts is a fantastic opportunity for those just beginning to build their collections, as well as seasoned collectors, since the original artworks sell at price points for all budgets. The artists range from students to emerging artists to established veterans.
The theme of this year’s event, “An Enchanted Forest of Fine Art and Fine Food,” was inspired by signature artist Robert Moore’s painting Autumn Grove, in which vibrant fall aspen trees shimmer with life on the canvas, paying homage to the natural world.
Guests are encouraged to embrace the spirit of the event by wearing attire that reflects nature and the enchanting elements of the forest.

Sandy Scott, Trail Creek Brownies, bronze, 18 x 8 x 2¾ in.
“I am extremely honored to be the signature artist for this year‘s event,” says Moore, who took his first workshops at the school in the 1980s, and later led them. “I hope that my participation will benefit the school and serve as an inspiration for upcoming artists.”
Autumn Grove is a scene in southern Idaho’s Sawtooth National Forest that the artist has known most of his life. “I am drawn to the challenge of simplifying the complexity of nature into a clear design and then filling it with harmonious color,” he says. “The aspen trees give me this visual material and I thank God for the beauty in nature.”
Guests will also have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for Trail Creek Brownies, a bronze wall mount by signature sculptor Sandy Scott.
In addition to the online art auction, there will also be door prizes, musical entertainment and a full sit-down dinner at the main event. For tickets and more information visit www.scottsdaleartschool.org. —
