“Kwani Povi Winder celebrates her life and culture with paintings on canvas,” says gallery owner Charles King. “Vibrant colors, deep emotions and loose brushstrokes characterize her [work]. Kwani seeks to explore her Santa Clara Pueblo Tewa heritage through painting, and draws on her religious beliefs when developing and painting Native figures. She seeks to preserve, share and educate through her paintings.”
