Canadian painter Robert Deschenes captures wildlife in paint
Fresh out of Robert Deschenes’ studio is this new painting, Wild Horizon. “The red fox stands proudly before a stream that flows impetuously into a majestic river. His gaze is fixed on the horizon, the colors bright and vivid, as if life overflowed from every corner of the image,” the artist says. “The fox looks like a guardian of this magical place, a protector of the wild beauty that surrounds it. The sunlight reflecting off the water evokes a sense of peace and serenity, as if all the world’s unpleasantness were being swept away in this moment. The artwork perfectly captures the essence of nature in all its splendor, from its grandeur to its beauty. It invites the viewer to lose themselves in their own world, to be swept away by the pure, simple charm of nature. Every detail of the image is an ode to life, a tribute to beauty and wonder.” See more at www.robertmdeschene.com.

Monna Kay creates joy within her work
Painter Monna Kay started out as an equine photographer until later deciding to make the switch to fine art. Her camera experience would help her at the easel. “My photography and darkroom experience influenced the way I crop my images, and I invite you into my paintings with loosely structured backgrounds,” she says. “I strive for spontaneous intimate reactions that occur when artist, idea and medium meet in unrestricted ways. I revel in the joy I feel when I let my paint act like paint. I’m an avid experimenter and often use unconventional methods to capture the unique personalities of my subjects.” See more of her work at www.monnakayfineart.com.
