Jackson Hole QuickDraw sees strong sales in Wyoming
After Jennifer Johnson finished her quickdraw piece during the Jackson Hole Fall Arts Festival on September 16, she stood in front of the crowd to tell them about the painting. “You can’t see Tetons behind the [Million Dollar] Cowboy, but I moved a mountain, so there you go,” she told the crowd of bidders. The painting went on to sell for $18,500, one of the top lots of this year’s quickdraw. Other artists whose work performed well included Aaron Hazel, who painted an iconic bucking bronco and rider against a teal background, and Bryce Pettit, who made a small fawn out of clay. —
