“We feel really good about this year’s competition. With more than 5,400 entries, many of them surprisingly great, and more than 2,000 finalists and almost 50 jurors involved, the final winners are always a surprise at the very end,” says Kara Lysandra Ross, co-chair of the event. “For the exhibition, we go through the award winners and consider what’s available and what can be shown. We also like to show a variety of work from all the categories, as well as from different artists and different countries. This year we will also have an online auction featuring 60 lots that will be available to bidders.”

ARC has also partnered with Fashion Week San Diego for The Art and Beauty Behind Fashion, which will see designers paired with artwork to create original couture outfits inspired by the show. That event will take place July 22 in New York City. —
