Ann Kraft Walker brings longhorns to InSight Gallery
Painter Ann Kraft Walker is an artist who is appearing on more and more collectors’ radars, and works like Endurance, showing a longhorn cattle skull, are proof as to why. Recently she’s had work at InSight Gallery in Fredericksburg, Texas. “The longhorn skull was a gift from a rancher down the road,” she says. “When I set it up in my studio and put a light on it, the light went through the eye socket and lit the inside of the skull. I had so much fun painting that.” To see more of Walker’s work, visit www.insightgallery.com.

New Jim Vogel work available at Blue Rain Gallery
The highly stylized work of Jim Vogel—who often paints images of the West, myths and folklore—is now on view at Blue Rain Gallery in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Included in some of his newest work is Buffalo Wings, this head-on view of a buffalo as it barrels through dust and fleeing birds. The painting was completed in a unique shield-like shape with a frame by the artist in collaboration with his wife, Christen Vogel. For more information, visit www.blueraingallery.com. —
