The upcoming Works on Paper, Prints + Multiples sale at Santa Fe Art Auction includes a diverse grouping of works, including original drawings by Charles Loloma from his personal collection, as well as a phenomenal collection of woodblock prints by Santa Fe printmaker and WPA artist Dorothy Newkirk Stewart. The sale will also feature some of the top names in Western and Native American art, like Fritz Scholder, Dan Namingha, Paul Pletka, Tony Abeyta, Frank Howell, Luis Jimenez, Helen Hardin, Ed Mell, Roy DeForest, Dick Mason and Tom Palmore.

Howell’s 1994 Magpie is expected to bring in between $1,000 and $2,000. Also estimated at $1,000 to $2,000 are Abeyta’s lithograph Woman with Pot, featuring a Native American woman balancing a pot atop her head, and Palmore’s 1990 lithograph Nate, a portrait of a bull against a pastel pink wallpaper. Jimenez’s Study for Denver Mustang and Scholder’s The Rose each have $1,500 to $2,500 estimates.
