Rachel Brownlee sells three works after her magazine appearance

After appearing in Western Art Collector’s Art of the Horse section in the May 2022 issue, artist Rachel Brownlee had tremendous success meeting new collectors. “I wanted to report very good results from my ad and feature in the Collector’s Focus: Art of the Horse in the May issue of the magazine,” she says. “I sold four large pieces this week, three of which were in the issue, and received phone calls about others and sold some prints!” Learn more about Brownlee’s work at www.rachelbrownlee.com.

Ulysses S. Grant Remington revolvers sell for $5 million
During the May Premier Auction hosted by Rock Island Auction Company, a pair of Remington revolvers owned by President Ulysses S. Grant stunned bidders when they sold for $5.17 million. The pair of revolvers came to light during a 2018 show in Las Vegas. It is believed Grant was presented the pair of guns after the capture of Vicksburg, Mississippi, on July 4, 1863.
