A Variety of Materials

Painting, pottery, jewelry and more will be offered at Medicine Man Gallery’s spring auction.

On May 15, Mark Sublette Medicine Man Gallery will present its Spring Auction, which will offer a variety of materials from throughout the West, and includes paintings and bronzes, and work within Native American art categories such as jewelry, pottery and more. The sale will also feature items from a prominent private collection. Other artists represented in the sale include Maynard Dixon, Edward Borein, Albert Looking Elk, Fritz Scholder, Robert Wood, Gary Ernest Smith, Pete Nisbet, Mary Russell Ferrell Colton, Edward S. Curtis and a fresh to the market Gustave Baumann woodblock, Palo Verde and Ocotea, estimated at $5,000 to $10,000. Also available is a major 1954 painting by Mordovia painter Fedot Sychkov, one of the highlights of the auction.
