Artist Focus: James Andrews

James Andrews was born and raised on a ranch in rural Idaho. He developed a love for nature and the outdoors, and after high school he embarked on a career in rodeo, but his dreams were dashed due to an injury.Headed to the Barn, oil on panel, 18 x 24”

“Although my mother is an oil painter, I had no interest in art while growing up,” he says. “It wasn’t until a friend, having seen my wood and stonework, encouraged me to try drawing.
