She is a member of Portrait Artists of Arizona, Sonoran Arts League and Arizona Artists Guild.
The Wind Talks, oil on linen, 14 x 26”
Working in both a traditional and representational style, Stuart paints with a richness of color that illuminates the intensity of sunlight on her varied subject matter. She paints figurative works as well as landscape and still life, but the majority of her work is Western and equine subjects. The history and tradition of the American West inspires much of her work.
Arapahoe Robe, oil on linen, 26 x 18”
She has pieces in the permanent collection of the Tucson Museum of Art, the Desert Caballeros Western Museum, the Phippen Museum, the Great Plains Art Museum, the Arizona Military Museum and the St. George Art Museum. Her work has been displayed in many juried and solo exhibitions nationwide and can be found in private and corporate collections worldwide.
“I am constantly refining and developing my unique style,” she says, “and I hope to continuously grow and broaden my use of light, values and color and push my work to the next level.”
