Currently in its 17th year, the Southeastern Chuck Wagon Gathering at the Booth Museum in Cartersville, Georgia, boasts one of the largest gatherings of chuck wagons east of the Mississippi River. Among the many festivities that take place during the one-day event are the Southeastern Chuck Wagon Gathering Invitational, one of the top food festivals in Georgia, in which guests get to choose a chuck wagon depending on the menu they like most.

The rest of the day features happenings like the Art Comes to Life exhibit, various activities for children, as well as a panel discussion titled The Jackson Hole 5: Important Painters from the West, led by the “Jackson Hole 5” consisting of Amy Lay, Amy Ringholz, Kathryn Mapes Turner, September Vhay and Kathy Wipfler.

From 5 to 7 p.m. is the Member Reception & Gallery Walk. Museum members are invited to a reception in the East Atrium at 5 p.m., and at 6 p.m., members are guided through a tour of The Jackson Hole 5: Important Painters from the West exhibition.
The event is capped off by a concert in the Bergman Theatre at 7 p.m., featuring Western singer and songwriter Juni Fisher. —
