Contemporary Western art is a growing, and even flourishing, segment of the Western art market. Join us as we celebrate the hottest contemporary art, artists, shows and galleries in the sixth edition of our popular special section Collector’s Focus: The Contemporary West when it returns to the pages of Western Art Collector in the January issue. This important annual section of the magazine is devoted to art that is pushing the Western genre into fascinating new directions. These new movements have many names—Modern West, New West, Contemporary West—and their unique attributes can be seen in color, composition, style, medium and even methods, with artists exploring new ways of depicting the West and its people. In The Contemporary West we pay tribute to the artists who are bringing renewed interest in this exciting genre.
