While the West means many things to many people, many consider canyons and deserts some of the most Iconic imagery from the American West. Those images go back nearly two centuries and continue still today as artists are drawn to these hot and dry locations for paintings and sculptures. In the June issue, Western Art Collector will feature the return of its special section Collector’s Focus: Canyons & Deserts, which will offer collectors an exclusive look into a popular genre of Western artwork. These works will offer breathtaking views of some of the places that have come to define the American West, whether it’s Monument Valley and the Grand Canyon or smaller, more intimate destinations hidden throughout the country.
