February 2023

Show Your Artwork in Our February Issue. Plan your marketing around these specially focused features.

Explore the wonder of nature in our returning section Collector’s Focus: Into the Wilderness, our third edition of a special section devoted to the lands of the West and the creatures that reside in them. The magnificence of nature will be on full view as we look at historic and contemporary artists who have been captivated by the raw power of America’s wilderness. Subjects will include landscapes and images of wildlife, but also artworks that combine the two and offer a stunning look into the untamed beauty of the American West. Looking through the section, our readers will be transported to scenic views of Yellowstone and its bison, mountain lions on the prowl in the Rocky Mountains, and grizzlies pawing at fish in mountain streams. For the February issue, walk with us Into the Wilderness.

Western culture can often be summed up with just a small arrangement of objects: glistening bits and spurs, an old worn saddle, saloon bottles with faded labels, a coiled length of rawhide-braided rope or a silver revolver tucked into a hand-tooled holster. These items, and so many others, speak to the beauty, the ruggedness and history of the West. In the February issue, Western Art Collector will pay respects to these classic objects through our newest section, Collector’s Focus: Western Still Life. Join us as we feature the artists that create works within this genre, and the museums and galleries that show this timeless work done by greats from Alexander Pope and Richard Goodwin to more contemporary artists like William Acheff and Kyle Polzin. Celebrate this growing genre of Western art in our inaugural feature in the February issue.
