Western Art Collector returns with our annual guide dedicated to the nation’s leading Western art museums. We regularly highlight the country’s foremost museums in our monthly Curating the West and Museum Preview/Report sections. We make it a point to provide our readers with curator insights, details on upcoming exhibitions, and synopses of important events throughout the year. In October we will once again offer an exclusive insider’s look into the Western art museum world in our directory of exhibitions, events, auctions, sales, special lectures, talks and traveling shows taking place during the 2020-21 art season. 

Western Art Collector is excited to present its 5th annual special section devoted to the glorious colors of fall, the hope of a bountiful harvest and the arrival of autumn with Visions of the Fall in the October issue. This time of a year, when nature turns with the season, is a popular subject matter for many artists, who thrive on the abundance of new colors and the dip to cooler temperatures before winter. Whether their settings are in breezy desert canyons with clusters of yellowing tree leaves or up in the higher country where leaves shift from brilliant golds to deep reds, artists have depicted autumn and its abundant harvest in a variety of ways. With this section, collectors will get to experience autumn from the works of some of the best artists working today. 

Utah—home to one of the most dramatic landscapes in the country—has a rich and long history of supporting the arts. Western Art Collector returns to the Beehive State in October for our 12th annual State of the Art: Utah. We will highlight the best Western galleries, artists and museums that thrive in this state. Western Art Collector will provide readers with a detailed guide to the prime Western art destinations located across Utah such as Delta, Ivins, Park City, Logan, Ogden, Orem, Provo, St. George, Salt Lake City and more.
